Dear participants, the Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong is currently collaborating with AIDS Concern (a major non-governmental organizations providing HIV prevention services in Hong Kong), Maastricht University in Netherlands, and the PULSE Clinic in Bangkok, Thailand to conduct a needs assessment among PrEP users coming from Hong Kong. The results of the study will provide important implications for planning services for PrEP users in Hong Kong. In the PULSE Clinic, we will invite you to complete a short online questionnaire which will take about 10 minutes to complete. Staff of PULSE Clinic will give you a HK$50 PARKnSHOP supermarket coupon upon completion of the questionnaire.
AIDS Concern is currently providing one-stop services for PrEP users, including:1) PrEP related consultation service2) Sexual health related consultation including AIDS and STIs3) Free, anonymous, and confidential rapid HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis C test, also Gonorrhea and Chlamydia urine test (base on the result of risk assessment)4) Referral services on other relevant STIs and kidney function check up5) Emotional support via telephone and face-to-face basisEach PrEP user will be followed up by a case manager from AIDS Concern. If you would like to accept these services, please leave your contact information after completing the questionnaire. The case manager will contact you. The case manager will also invite you to accept a brief telephone follow-up survey (about 10 minutes) three months afterwards. After completion of the survey, he will send you another HK$50 PARKnSHOP supermarket coupon in a plain envelope without any information about the study.
